“First big bike tour ever.  Rode for American Lung Assoc of WA.  Age 37 from Nalla Walla, WA.  Art teacher of 8 years.  Inspired to ride and inspired to never stop after riding the Going To The Sun Hwy.  375 miles through Canada’s Waterton and Glacier back to Whitefish after 7 days of unforgettable mountains, waters, wildlife, towns and people.”

“Returning from New Zealand for another Adventure Cycling Tour.  Last time in 2002 I did the Montana tour with my brand new Bianchi touring bike from Glacier Cyclery (ordered by telephone), sold to me by Jan and Ron who are still here.  This time I brought my husband Gaith (both 70 years) and our mountain bikes for the Great Divide Tour.”

“People have been great everywhere!  This is even better than I had hoped.  For an old geezer, I’m holding up pretty well.  This is the nicest store I’ve been in.”

“Man o’ man, what a bike shop, aina?  Nothing like the smell of bike shop rubber.  Hoping to make it to East Glacier Park before the town burns to the ground.  Taking Going-my-way-to-the-sun-in-my-eyes-road-cause-we-rode-from-east-to-west-last-time-and-now-it’s-time-to-ride-west-to-east-while-we-still-can-maybe.  See you on the road!”

“Dick, Jeff, Leif, Tom, Keith and I rode with Patrick and Angie.  Saw my first mountain goats and first pika as well as black bear, bighorns and osprey.  The most dangerous animal was Jeff with a killer snore.  Thanks, Whitefish!”

“We’re riding the Great Divide and Banff is in our sights after 2500 miles of riding from Antelope Wells, NM.  Whitefish and Glacier Cyclery were a great place to stop and layover for a day.  The mechanics are top notch wrenches and fit us into a busy schedule.  Thanks for the info on the Going to the Sun Road, Glacier and Polebridge!”

“Well first off I have to say you all are the kindest shop owners I’ve run across, thank you for letting me charge my camera also.  I guess it all started on New Years when I quit smoking.  I took up a local spin class and fell in love with the punishment for pleasure and the tougher way of travel.  I bought my bike, the Surley Long Haul Trucker and researched touring and decided to go the distance.  I have never seen the ocean and I’ve never left IL by myself and I’ve never been able to afford travel.  So I figured I’d discover everything alone.  I turned 21 this last may and graduated college in June.  I saved up half the summer and left on the last Wednesday in July.  The trip has been amazing so far.  Never have I met so many kind people, every state gets a bit more beautiful and kind.  The weather has been great also, a bit of rain in Glacier Park but that didn’t stop me from climbing Logan.  From here on out I’m excited about the sites.  I hope everyone who writes in this has a great experience and a safe one.  Cycling . . . the ONLY WAY TO TRAVEL.  Peace”
